Glenn Beck's Conflicts of Interest in Pitching Gold
publication date: Dec 11, 2009
Commentator Glenn Beck, who has a syndicated radio show and hosts a show on Fox (previously had been on CNN) has been a paid endorser for Goldline, a firm that sells gold coins. He joins a long line of pundits I have written about who dispense advice to the public and have endorsement deals that create conflicts of interest.
I've previously written about the flood of gold coin company advertising during the stock market panic in late 2008 and into 2009 and why investors should be wary: How CNBC Profits From Investor Anxiety.
